When you “Adopt a Month” at The Dragonfly Home – provide one month’s worth of financial support for our facility, programming, and services, you enable us to help so many survivors of human trafficking with their specific needs!

Our monthly operating costs include:

  • Rent
  • Utilities
  • Security Monitoring
  • Transportation + Vehicle Maintenance
  • Building Maintenance
  • Programming Costs
    • Hotline – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year
    • Victims’ Needs:
      • Direct Care Services: Intensive Case Management, Crisis Intervention, Counseling
      • Welcome Bags: pajama top and bottom, bra, underwear, socks, toiletries
      • Childrens’ Supplies
      • Special Needs: glasses, hearing aids, prescriptions
      • Education: Life skills classes, Job skills training, Cultural classes
      • Refreshments for clients
    • Education + Awareness
      • Outreach Materials: flyers, posters, curriculum, brochures, booklets
      • Communication Materials: publishing software, editing software, Adobe Suite licenses, podcasting equipment
    • Partnership Building
      • Printed training materials on trauma-infomed care for our clients
      • Equipment and expenses incurred for providing training sessions

One month’s operating costs at The Dragonfly Home:

Approximately $15,000

Ideas to Adopt A Month:

  • Gather a group of friends to contribute funds or create personal fundraising pages to work toward the goal (a group of about 10 college students raised over $7500 for us in one month by sharing fundraising pages on their social media!)
  • Collect special offerings at church
  • Get several community groups, Bible study groups, or Sunday School classes involved
  • Host an event or series of events
