Over 20 million people are ensnared in what we call “modern day slavery”. Some are used for sexual exploitation and others are a pool for slave labor. Some are kidnapped off the street, others are sold into this life by their families, and sadly many of these victims are children.
I have decided to advocate for these individuals that cannot speak for themselves. It is estimated only about 1% of victims are ever freed from human trafficking, but by raising awareness we can make it possible for more people to make the transition from victims to survivors.
All proceeds from the drive will be donated directly to The Dragonfly Home, Oklahoma City’s only state-certified non-profit providing life-saving, life-changing services for survivors of human trafficking. The Dragonfly Home currently operates Oklahoma’s first ever, human trafficking non-residential crisis center, a 24-Hour Human Trafficking Helpline, and plans to open the The Dragonfly Home Human Trafficking Shelter in 2019.
I’m asking you to please help me impact the lives of human trafficking survivors by making a donation to The Dragonfly Home today!
